Guidelines for Cricket Force Volunteers
Working at the Club?
You should not volunteer at the club if any member of your household has had a positive test for Covid 19 or is demonstrating symptoms and awaiting a test result.
You should follow Scottish Government guidance in relation to self-isolation and remain at home for the recommended period.
Detailed information can be found at here.
Prior Arriving at the Club
- All volunteers should ensure the club has their up-to-date contact details (phone and email).
- Volunteers should travel to the club by car alone, or only with a member of the same household. If walking or cycling, physical distancing should be observed.
At the Club
Volunteers should
- check in with the Committee member on duty at the main pedestrian entrance
- arrive in working clothes and ready to work
- wash and sanitise their hands prior to attending the club. They should also use the sanitiser available on arrival at the ground
- note that the club house and tearoom will not be available in the event of bad weather. Volunteers should go home, return to their car or should have their own appropriate wet weather gear.
- maintain a minimum of two metres between each other, to meet social distancing requirements during all work tasks. Where this is not possible, PPE should be worn or tasks be undertaken by people from the same household
- ensure all health and safety and emergency first aid guidelines are followed.
- bring their own equipment if possible.
- wash their hands/use sanitiser between tasks
If items of equipment are allocated to them for their sole use, volunteers should ensure that they are not shared with others
Volunteers are responsible for cleaning any individual items of (shared) equipment before and after use
- the Tearoom Toilet is the only one which will be in use. Volunteers must follow good hygiene practice when using the toilet:
- use sanitiser before entering the toilet
- wipe down surfaces touched when using the facilities – handles, levers, taps etc
- wash their hands thoroughly
- Volunteers are responsible for providing their own refreshments. There will be no access to the tearoom kitchen. Some hot drinks may be available if there are sufficient volunteers to manage preparation safely. Disposable cups will be used.
- Volunteers should not share food, cutlery or crockery
- Volunteers should use the hand sanitiser provided before leaving the site
- Volunteers should leave the ground as soon as possible at the end of their work session
- Volunteers are encouraged to remind other colleagues of the guidelines, in a respectful way, when they witness poor practices.
If you become ill when working on site you should:
- Hands should be washed and sanitised as soon as possible after returning home following a work session
- Volunteers should ensure all their own equipment is cleaned thoroughly after use.
If you become ill within seven days of working on the site:
- If you become unwell after working at the club, you should follow the Scottish Government guidance for Test and Protect.
- You should also inform the club as soon as possible, by emailing strathmorecc@hotmail.com or contacting a committee member by phone or message
