Strathmore Cricket Club - Selection Procedure

The selection of teams is carried out by the elected members of the selection committee. The selection committee is currently comprised of:
    • 1st XI captain - Gary Hewitson
    • 2nd XI captain - Graham Hewitson
    • Match Secretary - Craig McDonald
    • Selection committee member - Mark Stewart
    • Selection committee member - Andy Sturrock

The selection committee (generally) meets on a Monday night at 8pm to pick the teams for the following weekend and all teams should be publicised within the club, on the website and emailed round by no later than Tuesday night.

To make it as easy as possible to pick the teams it is requested that all players ensure that they have made their availability known to the selectors prior to their Monday night meeting. This can be done by any of the following methods:
  • Informing the captain after a game of availability for the following week
  • Using the unavailability sheets which are up in the home changing room
  • Using the availability section within the website
  • Emailing senior.selection@strathmorecc.co.uk
