On the weekend of Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd April we are assembling our very own Cricket Force; a team of volunteers who come together at Lochside Park to work on projects to improve the facilities.
The Cricket Force will work between 10am and 4pm each day and be involved in a number of projects including repainting the big sight screens, refurbishing the score box, tidying the garden area and much, much more.
These are just examples. There are plenty of jobs to be done and everyone will be able to help in some way – Cricket Force is not just for those with specific DIY skills!
In addition to offers of help over the Cricket Force weekend, we would appreciate donations of materials.
The upkeep and improvement of the club and ground is expensive. Anything that we can do to save money benefits the club, so any donations would help. Examples here would be:
-
Left over paint that we could use to help give the inside of the score box a work over or freshen up the toilets
-
Outdoor paint for railings and benches
-
Plants for the garden outside the club or for planters to put in front of the club house
The loan of equipment over the weekend would also be helpful. We’ll need things like power washers, as well as tools to make sure we can keep everyone busy
We need as many members and friends of the club as possible to be part of the Cricket Force.
All you have to do is turn up at Lochside Park between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 2nd or Sunday 3rd April; we will be delighted to welcome you for as much time as you can contribute.
We will be contacting people directly over the next few weeks to ask them to come along and help, but you don’t have to wait. This is your invitation. So please, let us know when you can come along.
If you can’t make it over the Cricket Force weekend, but want to help, let us know. There’s always work to be done and we can organise that around your availability.
If you’d like more information on advance, want to tell us when you’re coming along or have some materials you’d like to donate, you can:
