Background Information

 

We are seeking youth workers to help us develop the use of our facilities as a non-alcoholic bar, offering a safe, social environment to young people between the ages of 11 and 14 years.

You will be positive, enthusiastic and flexible, with a commitment to supporting the personal development of young people.

You will have experience in working with young people in informal settings and be able to develop positive, supportive and productive relationships with young people between the ages of 11 and 14 years.

You will also have experience and skills in planning and implementing small-scale projects.

A commitment to our core values of participation, inclusion, self-determination and empowerment are essential.

No formal qualifications are required, but applicants should have a good general education and be able to demonstrate their ability to meet the demands of the role. A recognised qualification in youth work would be an advantage.

The post is initially for a period of three months, but may be extended if successful and viable

The starting rate of pay is £9 - £11 per hour, with placing based on experience and qualifications
