Booking Procedures and Terms and Conditions (T&Cs)

In booking your session at Strathmore Cricket Club, you agree to abide by the following conditions.

Please read the following carefully, as failure to adhere to these may result in your booking privileges being withdrawn.

The conditions are compliant with the current Cricket Scotland guidelines. These have been agreed with SportScotland and the Scottish Government. They will apply until further notice and the club will amend these when necessary in line with future CS guidance.

You should pay particular attention to the club specific details at the end of this document.

  • In line with current Scottish Government guidance, you should stay at home if you are
    • Symptomatic
    • Living in a household with a possible COVID-19 infection
    • Have been overseas or exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days
    • Are classified as extremely vulnerable on health grounds
    • Have flu-like symptoms or are feeling unwell.
  • Lochside Park will be open for use by members on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 6pm to 9pm, commencing on Tuesday 30th June. Use of the ground out-with these times is not allowed, other than by specific, prior agreement.
  • You can use the facilities at Lochside Park (the ground) with members of your household or people from a maximum of four other households, up to a maximum of fifteen people, while keeping two metres apart at all times. You must therefore only use the ground (nets and training areas) in groups of no more than eight people.
  • Access to the ground will be by advance booking only. You will not be able to use the ground without having booked and provided details of anyone attending with you. One member can make a booking on behalf of more than one person, providing they are not booking for people from more than two households other than their own. Full details of all members included in the booking need to be provided.
  • Physical distancing of at least two metres must be maintained at all times (unless all participants in a training group are members of the same household).
  • Wash your hands at home before and after using the outdoor facilities. Bring your own hand sanitiser if possible.
  • Use your own equipment. We will not be providing club equipment apart from stumps.
  • The club will issue you with (a minimum of) two practice balls for your exclusive use. You will be responsible for looking after these balls and making sure they are not touched by anyone else. You should retain these balls and bring them every time that you come to the ground.
  • No saliva or sweat should come into contact with the ball at any time.
  • The Clubhouse will be closed. There will be no access to toilets, so you should plan your visit to the ground accordingly
  • Members are using the ground at their own risk.
  • Try not to arrive early. Aim to arrive at the start of the session to help with social distancing.
  • Players should travel to the ground alone or with members of their own household.
  • Bring your own filled drinking bottles; there will be no access to clubhouse facilities for refilling bottles
  • Avoid touching any hard surfaces or equipment as far as possible while at the ground
  • Do not stay to socialise. Specifically, do not spend time socialising with people in other training groups.
  • As always, your safety and that of your fellow members is paramount. Please ensure that you stick to normal, safe cricket practices at all times - wearing the required safety equipment and adhering to net protocols etc.

Practical Arrangements

The following practical arrangements will apply in relation to use of Lochside Park:

  • Bookings for training sessions can be made here
  • On arrival at the ground, you should check in at the registration point in front of the clubhouse. If there are others waiting, you should join the queue and maintain two meters between you and anyone else
  • On your first visit to the ground, you will be given an allocation of practice balls, for your exclusive use. You should retain these at the end of the session and bring them with you every time you come to train
  • You should use the hand sanitiser provided at the check-in point
  • You will be allocated a training group and an area of the ground; this could be a net or a training area (There are 4 planned areas - ground plan). You should go to that area and remain there until instructed to move. You should not touch or move equipment
  • Depending on numbers, training groups will be rotated to allow for a mix of activities. Should this be the case, there may be a short break between sessions to allow for any cleaning down of equipment that may be required
  • You should use hand sanitiser between drills and at every changeover
  • Health, safety and hygiene are essential within drills. We have prepared specific guidance on the “do's and don’ts”. Please familiarise yourself with these before coming to the ground
  • If you feel unwell when at the ground, you should tell the Committee Member supervising the session. You should then leave immediately and follow public health advice. All members of your group should also leave.
  • At all points, you should look after your own equipment; no-one else should be touching this and there should be no sharing of equipment with anyone out-with your household.
  • At the end of the session, you should pack up your equipment and take it away with you. There is no access to storage lockers
  • You should inform the Committee Member on duty immediately before you leave, confirming that you are about to go.

Please ensure social distancing at all times you are at the club.
