VOLUNTEER DEVELOPMENT WORKER

Responsible For: Volunteer recruitment, support and development


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing the volunteer workforce at Strathmore Cricket Club, with a particular focus on recruiting and supporting volunteers from priority groups and in relation to specific projects


Specific Duties

  • Promote project volunteering opportunities in the community, with a focus on key target groups
  • support the volunteer recruitment process, in line with organisation policy and in collaboration with colleagues
  • facilitate volunteer induction, working in collaboration with colleagues
  • provide ongoing support to volunteers including the creation and implementation of Volunteer Development and Support Plans
  • organise regular volunteer meetings - contribute to record keeping, data collection, reporting and evaluation
  • ensure that volunteer contributions are recognised and accredited
  • maintain accurate records of work and volunteer activity
  • prepare reports for the management committee
  • assist in the preparation of progress reports to funding bodies
