VOLUNTEER DEVELOPMENT WORKER

Part-time for 18.5 hours per week

Salary - £18, 860 (pro rata)

 

We are seeking an energetic, creative and reliable Volunteer Development Worker to join our team at Strathmore Cricket Club and help us expand our volunteer workforce. You will support the delivery of key projects including a Meeting Centre for people living with dementia, a community food project and our all-ability cricket programmes.

You will have worked with volunteers in a community setting. Experience in supporting volunteers and learners would be an advantage.

A commitment to reducing inequality is essential for this post.

You will have a sound knowledge of good practice in volunteer support and recognition.

Good communication and inter-personal skills are vital in this post as are the skills to use IT to support communication and administration. A good practical knowledge of and some experience in using social media in an organisational context would be an advantage.

You will have a good general education to at least SCQF Level 7 (HNC equivalent) and a qualification in volunteer management or community learning and development is desirable.

Some evening and occasional weekend work are part of this role.

You will be a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme or be willing to join it.

A full driving license and access to a car for work would be an advantage.
