Salary - £22,135 (per annum)

We are seeking a highly motivated and committed individual to manage our Meeting Centre for people living with dementia.

You will hold a Scottish Vocational Qualification at Level 3 Social Services and Healthcare (SCQF Level 7) or an equivalent, occupationally relevant, qualification. You will also be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme or be willing to join.

Work or personal experience in a care setting is essential, as is experience of operating in a multi-agency environment. Ideally, you will also be experienced in supervising staff and managing operational budgets.

You will have knowledge of dementia and the needs of people and families adjusting to living with a dementia diagnosis. You will also have or be prepared to develop your knowledge and understanding of legislation relevant to the operation of the Meeting Centre.

Skills in working with people are essential to this post as are competence in managing people, projects and budgets. You will also be able to use IT to support the management and operation of the Centre (Office applications).

The Centre Manager will need to take initiative and provide leadership to the small staff team, with the skills to motivate, support and develop colleagues.

This is a people centred post in a small community led organisation which requires you to build trust with Centre members, colleagues, partner agencies and committee members. You will also have to be flexible and creative as you work to develop and deliver a high-quality service, which makes a positive contribution to the quality of life experienced by people living with dementia.

The post is part-time for 29 hours per week and for an initial period of 14 months.
